I personally use goodnotes and have not purchased notability so cannot comment on what notability does do well. I mainly watched a lot of youtube videos and reddit threads - I am happy with goodness although, the audio recording function in notability is tempting (imho) but I already record lectures due to DSA / disability stuff.
